Many small businesses and organisations are using Receipt Bank to simplify their bookkeeping process.  The cost starts from £10 per month.  For this you get an app for your smart phone that can be used to record expenditure.

Any receipt, however paid for, can be photographed from within the app, some basic details added, and the transaction automatically added to your bookkeeping system.

This works well with the main cloud based online bookkeeping systems including KashFlow, Xero and Quickbooks.
